Sebi has already provided approval for 54 companies aiming to collectively raise Rs 76k crores with 19 more IPOs in line to raise Rs 33k crores. This signifies a promising trajectory, in terms of both volume and the size of offerings. A recent report by 1Lattice highlighted that FY24 witnessed the most IPO listings in India and ranked third highest in terms of issue size.
Markets in Asia began the week on a cautious footing. The Indian rupee fell to its weakest closing level on record on Monday as rising Middle East tensions weighed on Asian currencies and risk assets, but potential dollar sales by the Reserve Bank of India helped curb the local unit's losses.

The spot yuan opened at 7.2355 per dollar and was changing hands at 7.2382 at midday, 10 pips weaker than the previous late session close and 1.98% weaker than the midpoint. With the yuan nearing the 2% trading band in the spot market, the PBOC's ability to stabilise its value through the daily fixing rate faces constraints, said Tommy Xie, head of Asia macro research at OCBC.

From Dalal Street to Wall Street there is a positive sentiment due to the greater rally in the Indian stock market. Sensex crossed 75000 from 70000 in no time. The other benchmark index, Nifty 50 is also at an all-time high of 22750 and mutual fund portfolios have also broken new records.
The ECB and the developed world's other central banks are tilting toward undoing some of the sharp hikes to interest rates that were imposed with the goal of getting inflation under control. The Swiss National Bank was the first major central bank to cut rates in the current cycle on March 21. The big exception is Japan, which raised rates for the first time in 17 years on March 19.
As per regulatory guidelines, a large-cap company is a listed company which is ranked from 1st to 100th on the Indian stock exchanges in terms of market capitalisation. Hence, for a fund house, a large-cap scheme needs to invest at least 80% of its assets in large-cap companies, with the flexibility to invest the balance 20% in other companies as per the discretion of the fund manager
